Johnathan Bond

 

Johnathan Bond is based out of Chattanooga, TN. Johnathan has one son, Markale, and one daughter-in-law, Courtney. Johnathan’s pride and joy are his 4 grands (MacKenzie, Myla, Journey, & Jax). Johnathan is a writer for Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), a member of The National Songwriters Association, Inc. (NSAI), NARAS (www.Grammy.com), and The Gospel Music Association (www.GMAMusicAwards.com) and also a songwriter for HIS Choice Music Publishing. Johnathan has recorded a total of 30 projects, with his latest being “BACK HOME AGAIN ”.

Johnathan Bond has been nominated for the most honored Dove Awards many times. In the 2007 ballots, GOD’s Still GOD (written & performed by Johnathan) was nominated as Southern Gospel Song of the Year and also nominated as Gospel Music’s “Song of the Year”.  A great honor for any performer & songwriter.

Johnathan has been serving GOD in full-time ministry since 1995. Prior to that time, Johnathan was singing with two of his cousins known as, The McClure Trio. As concert dates began to increase, he then formed the trio that later became known as, Young Harmony. Young Harmony traveled the entire country and beyond for appx 15 years. In 2009 Johnathan was thrust into solo work and received with open arms by his fans & radio professionals.

God has opened up many doors for Johnathan Bond. In 2008, he was inducted into the North America Country Music Hall of Fame. In 2007, his album, Strength was nominated as Southern Gospel Album of the Year. GOD Still GOD was nominated as Southern Gospel Song of the Year and also nominated as overall Song of the Year. In 2006, His hit single, Good Morning Lord was nominated as The Dove Awards Song of the Year. The project Faith, Hope, and Joy was nominated in the Dove Awards as Album of the year in 2005.

In November of 2004 at the Ryman Auditorium on national television, Johnathan, along with his group, Young Harmony, was named the 2004 Group of the Year. These are to name a few of the awards. Many recognize Johnathan’s number-one charting songs such as, “Don’t Hide Your Scars”, “Let Me Take You To Jesus”, “I Need Your Grace”, “What If He Didn’t”, “God’s Still God”, “Good Morning Lord”, “God Has Not Forgotten You”, “Can The World See Jesus In You” and “All He’s Done For Me”. His latest radio release, “Back Home Again –  – ” (also co-written by Johnathan) is quickly gaining him even more notoriety. Johnathan stated, “My goal is to offer hope to a world that is struggling!”
